Beach access is only by walking on the main road, free shuttle to lamai provided by hotel only once per day at a time nobody really would use. So be ready to be always looking for a taxi. Tours proposed by hotel happened to be nothing like what was explained on paper. Staff even though kind too limited. Overall disappointing

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Good Views - found it to be very steep - lots of steps. Breakfast was rather boring - could only choose from a set menu. Rather disappointed in our room location as we booked in July for our December holiday and found we where one row behind the good sea view villa s and the place was not fully booked out, we where there for 5 nights. No real privacy in your pool area. There is no beach in front of the hotel only big rocks, they do have a shuttle service to a nearby beach. If you want a very quiet holiday - the place to go.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Our first trip to Samui, on our honeymoon. We had extensively looked up the hotel, and found it to be everything we expected!
Stayed at the Presidential Suite, and found it to be more than comfortable and EXTREMELY private.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: We have been really impressed by the quality of this hotel. The rooms, furniture and decoration are very well done. Lots of attention have been given to the design of this hotel. But most the staff is really nice and friendly. We would definitely return there if we have the occasion. Highly recommended.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Fabulous views, warm, friendly staff. Very comfortable accomodation. Language barrier a bit of a problem (got the same breakfast each day:not what we ordered) Private pool villas not so private. Would have preferred if transfers were part of the deal. Thought a bit odd that extra charges were levied to have fresh milk supplied for the morning and evening, in room, coffees. But on the whole a great experience and would not hesitate to return: and probably will soon. Far enough away from downtown Chaweng to be tranquill but close enough to commute there each day in approx 15 mins. 10 mins in other direction is Lamai beach which is far less crowded but with less services available still, a great beach. We hired a motor scooter for approx $8.00 (au) per day (at the hotel) and toured around the island. Found our own elephant trecking, waterfalls, deserted beaches and discovered the real Koh Samui and its people, a fantastic and safe experience. I would recommend this holiday and thank the staff at the Kala for their attention and service.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Forgot to mention the steep stairs everywhere, not a problem until it rains the concrete is very slippery (fell on the last day). Security is excellent but had to laugh at the safe, although a good size and very robust you could pick it up and put it wherever you like. Needs to be bolted down I think!! Hur tycker du hanteringen av din bokning sköttes? Molto efficiente il servizio di prenotazione. Siamo arrivate intorno alle 13 e la nostra camera era pronta e a nostra disposizione. Anche il pick up dall aeroeporto che avevamo prenotato è stato puntuale!
Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Bell hotel, al di sopra delle aspettative! Di grande impatto la posizione, che gode di uno splendido panorama sul mare. Lo stile è moderno con accenni tradizionali. Apprezzabile la ricerca, nell arredamento, di alcuni pezzi antichi. L infinity pool è bellissima e la discesa a picco sul mare è davvero unica. Buono il servizio: il personale è numeroso e gentile.
Ho alloggiato per quattro notti in questo hotel ed è stata un esperienza rilassante e piacevole. E sicuramente indicato per una luna di miele (in particolare utilizzando le camere con piscina privata) ma ci sono stata benissimo anche se viaggiavo in compagnia di mia figlia di sedici anni. La bellezza e la tranquillità di questo posto contrastano con la confusione delle località vicine!...
Unici nei, anche se abbastanza trascurabili rispetto a tutto il resto: il continental breackfast potrebbe essere un po più vario e la SPA è piuttosto cara rispetto al resto dei servizi.

Hur tycker du hanteringen av din bokning sköttes? Making the bookings was very simple, and even slightly cheaper than if we would have booked via the Kala s own website. We even got 1 free dinner at the Kala because we mentioned this was our honeymoon.
Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: We were fortunate enough to benefit from the promotional opening rate, and a bit more discount for booking via SamuiPortalen.se.com. We were therefore able to enjoy this excellent, friendly and luxury resort for a price you can t find anywhere else.
We came to Thailand for our honeymoon, and planned to stay only 4 nights at The Kala Samui before going to Koh Phangan for the remainder of our holiday. But on the first day of arrival on Phangan we longed to go back to the Kala! So we booked an additional 8 nights via SamuiPortalen.se.com in the first internetshop we could find, to return to Samui and the Kala as soon as we could. Upon arrival it felt like coming home...
Reasons:
- The decorational and boutique style of the resort.
- The breathtaking view from any point in he Kala (Lobby, Room, Restaurant, Swimming pool etc).
- The Polite, friendly and well-trained staff providing service with a sincere smile and with an eye for detail.
- The standard (Deluxe) room was big enough and had most we could wish for. Also kept very clean!
- Very relaxing pool and sunbeds with umbrellas.
- Excellent breakfast, lunch & dinner against reasonable prices (breakfast was included).
Some people might find the location a bit out of route, but we rented a scooter for the time we were there (the Kala can rent those for you for around 50 BHT more p/day than normal price), and we were free to go where and whenever we wanted. You ll be in Lamai or Chaweng within 10 minutes, as you are located right in between. And it s fun riding the scooter! :-)
We would definately recommend this hotel to others or go back whenever we had the chance! Perfect for honeymooners or romantic getaways.
